THIS IS IT! GOOD BYE MOTIME.COM HELLO www.knittingupastorm.blogspot.com please change your links at your convenience . posted by LisaFarm, 07:02| link | comments (1) SnB Tonight - The Naked Sheep Will you be there? I will be. Hope to see you! I will be bringing my Sitcom Chic and the start of the Thrummed mittens. Hopefully Elizabeth will be there to check out how I am thrumming along and let me know if I'm doing it right or wrong. I hope to make a big dent in the shoulder shaping of the Sitcom Chic sweater, because I would like to move on to making the Chickami in black cotton to wear underneath it. I love ChicKnits patterns. Who doesn't? I cannot believe the amount of help she gives others - truly the Queen Knitter/blogger. Thanks for all your help through the tutorials you provide on your WIPs and the patterns you have developed. I know when I am making something from you, I don’t have to analysis the pattern too much before I begin, because your detail is just enough to get me through successfully. Thanks! BTW - My site will be moving from motime.com to blogger.com, and will keep you posted. Stay tuned. Have a good one. posted by LisaFarm, 13:33| link | comments Guess who might be going here? You guessed it ME! Working out the logistics now as to whether Chris and I are going, or if I'm going with my girlfriend Teresa and he might come, or he might not, but who cares right now, the end result is - I am going baby. Sitcom Chic is progressing nicely. The sleeves are attached, so I'm in the process of decreasing every other row, which is fantastic as each row I start I have less and less to knit. NICE! Have a good one folks. posted by LisaFarm, 14:31| link | comments (4) Holy Moly - I never thought I would watch a movie that was as bad as The Postman, but Spiderman 2 is just as bad if not more so. Chris and I are not sure which one should win first place, even now, I think they are pretty much tied for the worst movies ever made. I didn't even knit through Spidey, which would probably have dulled the pain of watching the stupidity, but alas, I was hoping it would get better. But no, it didn't. Sunday morning complaints, don't you just love it? Have a good one folks. posted by LisaFarm, 09:27| link | comments I'm sure you are all in suspense wondering why I left early the other day, well I can't give you pictures, but let me just say that I bought 5 of these. I know, I know, I have one, which I wear all the time, I have another one my friend gave me, so that is two and now another 5, which is 7. Crazy? Yes, I now agree with my friends, I am NUTS. With a capital N. I love anything Fleece Artist, I think I will buy anything with the label Fleece Artist. I LOVE this stuff. Can you tell? Hopefully my technical specialist, a.k.a my husband, will upload the pictures for me today, as you NEED to see the colours I picked. But to be fair, one of the two will be for my sister in law, and another for my girls. So, now, I really only have 5 scarfs. HA! On the knitting front? I have the body and one sleeve of the Sitcom Chic finished, started the second sleeve and I am about 1/2 done on that. Not bad. This is a fairly quick and easy knit, and since I've been squeezing the knitting of it here and there, it doesn't seem like a lot of work. That is it for now folks. Have a good one. posted by LisaFarm, 08:45| link | comments Thanks everyone for your good wishes on me getting better - and I am. A bit tired, but at least I don't have a fever, sore throat and all that shit. Thank goodness. And thanks for your nice comments about my FOs. I guess the general consensus was that I'm naked under Lara. Chris and I had a big laugh over that one last night. Thanks guys! It was unintentional, but sometimes those are the best - never thought you would see a bit of skin on a knitting blog, now did ya? Oh yeah, I forgot, I've got another one on my blog - the one on the top right. I like my birthday suit, what can I say? BTW - I'm leaving work a bit earlier than normal. Why? I am going to the Naked Sheep to pick some yarn up. Show you later. have a good one. posted by LisaFarm, 15:24| link | comments Hello - I have pictures. After deleting about 30 pictures from old posts, I made more room for this: Okay they don't match, but I don't care, they are for the coldest days and will either be on my feet when I am sleeping or inside boots. And more warm stuff: And last but not least - Lara: BTW - Brenda informed me that it looks like I am naked under Lara - I am not, but hey, not a bad idea! Have a good one folks. posted by LisaFarm, 22:52| link | comments (8) Hello all. Long time eh? No posting as I have strep throat which has knocked me off my ass for the last couple of days. Thankfully I had some meds from my sinus infection last month. (oops, I forget to take all of it, so I guess that is why I now have another infection). But I am going to the doctor this morning to get more. Yeah drugs. I was even too sick to knit. I didn't feel like it. And actually I have been trying to get rid of as many things that make my life busy and stressful - like selling Avon. I have been doing this for two years now, and it is really time for a break. I am not sure why I started doing it. It is great to let one more thing go. Now, I am thinking, what else can go, well, at least for awhile? Not, sure, but I'll be thinking..and getting rid of stuff. Hopefully. I tried to upload pictures last night, but our server is having issues, so Chris needs to do something to get it to work, and once that something is done I will have pictures of Lara, the beanie, arm warmers and the hurry up spring arm warmers. Lots to show, but no way of showing you all. Anywho, got to go to the doctors. Keep your fingers and toes crossed I can get some pics up to share with you. Have a good one. posted by LisaFarm, 08:42| link | comments (5) What is happening on Wednesday? You know - SnB at The Naked Sheep. Love Wednesdays, yes I do. I will be bringing the Sitcom Chic, which I started yesterday, and only have about 6 rows done, but it is a start. While I was knitting last night I told Chris I can't believe I am knitting another sweater all in one piece again, especially since I said I wouldn't. He gave me the look - you know the look - the look of WTF? (BTW, I love typing WTF because I can still swear, which I love to do and trying to stop, and it doesn't sound all that bad!). He then asked me if I had finished my other sweater, with that dad kind of look. Man, I can't get a break. And yes, Lara is done, except she needs one good iron/steam on her seams and the bottom. Well, I hope to see you all at the SnB at The Sheep, of course if you are in Toronto. Have a good one. posted by LisaFarm, 06:49| link | comments (1) |
